A message from the NCMA President to our Brothers and Sisters in Law Enforcement …

Greetings, as the incoming President of the NCMA, I want to thank past President Palazzo for his dedication and service he contributed to the NCMA. He provided us with leadership and vision during difficult situations of transition. He was instrumental in bringing Marshalls into our organization. Dan Palazzo is a professional. Our great appreciation to all those past members of the board who worked so hard for our association.

Congratulations to all those elected to the board. We have inherited tasks from past board members to keep our association growing and to fulfill our mission of service to Constables and Marshalls.

The board has accepted the challenge to reach out to all Constables and Marshalls in those states that don’t have full participation. The board has identified two major goals for the next year. First, to increase communication with our membership with the production of a newsletter, and informational brochure.  Second, to reach out to those Constables and Marshalls in states that are underrepresented and increase our membership.  The board has laid out a strategy to accomplish these goals and will meet in August to ensure we are working towards meeting our objectives.

I want to thank Constable Rubin Davis, Deputy Sharon Arnold and all those involved from the Fort Bend County Precinct Two Constables Office for hosting our annual meeting.  They did a wonderful job and made Texas hospitality come alive. We enjoyed it so well we will be back next year. Special thanks to those folks from the Marshalls Office in Shreveport Louisiana that worked so hard to make the transition of offices look easy.

Last, but not least, I want to thank all those members who took the time to participate in our conference. All of you make the dream, and meaning of fellowship, a reality.  Thanks for your support in electing me as President; it is an honor to serve you.

Sincerely,

Constable Phil Hazlett

NCMA President
